“Mini-Vortex” hologram edition

In the Spring of 1991 I started printing rock posters and art prints for some of the coolest lowbrow artists of that time in a small printshop in Austin, TX. The shop was run by L'imagerie Gallery, based in Southern California. That year I started experimenting on printing my own art on paper and after a couple art prints ended up making my first rock poster for some friends in Hollywood. I really didn't know what I was doing but came up with a fun design to help promote the show. Most of the posters ended up in the streets of Hollywood or on walls of the people who had something to do with the show. Over the past 30 years that posters has been collected and bootlegged all over the world. If you have an original you are stoked, if not then here is your chance to get the 30th anniversary print.

For this Pearl Anniversary I decided to go Extra-Large. I made it bigger, easier & cheaper to frame in the standard frame size of 12”x36”.

It comes in 3 very limited variant editions of 30.

1) “Regular edition" is printed on an off white heavy cover stock

2) "Rainbow White Pearl” hologram stock edition

3) “Mini-Vortex” hologram stock edition

All 3 editions are tweaked to get the feel of the original poster, "Loose & Dirty". I loosened the screens and added a little grated Parmesan cheese in the blue ink to give it the “vintage” look of the original print.
